I have been doing a lot of praying the past couple of days, and God has shown me His Amazing Love, BIG TIME!
As I think about James in Ethiopia, so far away, sick with measles, feeling horrible, I ACHE to hold him. I long to be able to make him feel better, to heal him, and to comfort him. But would I sacrifice Grace Caroline or Drew to be able to have James well, whole, and with me? Probably not. And you might think I was crazy or a really bad mom if I said I would.
But this is exactly what God has done for us... He thought about us so far away from Him, sick with our sin and longed to heal us, comfort us, be with us. And in order to heal me, He sent His Son, Jesus to earth in the form of a baby so that He could die for me. That is amazing love!!
